Although based in the Department of Radiology, Johns Hopkins University, candidates can come from multiple clinical disciplines especially Psychiatry, Neurology, as well as Nuclear Medicine, Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Surgery, etc.  The primary purpose is to train potential academic physicians to encourage use of imaging in their future research careers.  Highest priority will be given to those who are entering or are in a clinical residency or beginning a clinical Fellowship in their specialties.  Full time training will include mentorship by faculty of Radiology and other participating departments as Psychiatry and Neurology.  Research topics can be basic, translational or clinical and related to the candidate’s clinical specialty.  Arrangements with Radiology and other departments from outside of JHU for joint mentorship and collaboration will be considered.  Formal didactic coursework including joint meetings with other trainees will enhance the educational experience.
